When choosing a printer, we often look at the price and the ink that it will use. This has made inkjets more attractive to buyers, since the prices of inkjet printers and ink cartridges are much lower than their laser counterparts. However, if you analyze the cost efficiency of using laser printers you will notice that buying the more expensive printer and toner results in savings in the long run. This is because laser printers can produce more with less, which makes them more cost efficient than their inkjet counterparts.

Average prices and output

The average price of an inkjet printer is about $200 to $300, and the average price of a laser printer is about $400 to $600.
